At Clearview Dermatology Laser and Surgery Center our mission is to provide excellent and uncompromising medical, surgical, and cosmetic care to our patients. Clearview Dermatology was born out of years of experience with the vision of what a dermatology practice could be and should be. We focus not only on the disease or condition, but also the person who has entrusted their care with us. In addition, as an independent, physician-owned, small business we feel that we have a responsibility towards our community and our environment. Thus, we seek to not only provide the best care for our patients but also do our part to ensure the prosperity of our community and the preservation of our environment. We feel incredibly lucky to have a relationship with you and have a role in making the world a better place for everyone.
Meet Dr. Overman
Dr. Joe Overman is the owner and founder of Clearview Dermatology. Clearview Dermatology is independent and privately owned ensuring the interest of our patients will always come first. Dr. Overman is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee with a double major in chemistry and physics. He completed medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and a year of internal medicine in Birmingham, Alabama. He then ventured out of the southeast for his dermatology residency at Boston University. In residency he was recognized as a talented surgeon. As a result of his passion for surgery and natural talent, he was offered a fellowship at one of the top Mohs Micrographic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowships in the United States at Oregon Health Science University in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Overman earned distinction as one of the first surgeons in the nation to be double Board-Certified in Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic and Reconstructive Surgery by the American Board of Dermatology, He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgeons, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery
Dr. Overman has performed over 8,000 Mohs surgeries and facial reconstructions to date. Dr. Overman is also an expert in cosmetic dermatology, lasers and an array of cosmetic surgeries. Through his training in a vigorous fellowship that combined cosmetic dermatology, laser surgery, Mohs surgery, facial plastic surgery and oculoplastic surgery, Dr. Overman is able to take an artful approach to both skin cancer treatments and cosmetic surgeries.
Dr. Overman spends his free time in the outdoors hiking, biking, camping, skiing, and flying planes with his wife Riley and their two dogs, Koda and Banks. He is a strong believer in a patient-centered approach to dermatology and strives to provide nothing less than world-class care for all of his patients.
Meet Joanna Burch, MD
Coming September 2025
Dr. Joanna Burch is double board-certified in both dermatology and pediatric dermatology and brings over 20 years of clinical experience to deliver expert skin care for patients of all ages. She graduated with honors from the University of Florida in economics and business administration. In Medical School at the University of South Florida, she graduated at the top of her class. Wanting to experience a new part of the country, she moved to Denver, where she completed a residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital Colorado. During this time, she discovered a passion for the diagnosis and treatment of the skin conditions she encountered which led her to shift her focus to dermatology. She went on to complete a second residency in dermatology, followed by a fellowship in pediatric dermatology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. During her fellowship, she was awarded a prestigious Women’s Dermatology Society Fellowship Grant which allowed her to complete advanced pediatric surgical and laser therapy training at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago. She so distinguished herself during her residency and fellowship training that she was asked to stay as faculty at the University of Colorado Department of Pediatrics and Dermatology where she practiced and taught for over a decade. During this time, she developed an extensive pediatric dermatology surgery referral practice.
Dr. Burch has won teaching awards and has been voted a 5280 Magazine’s “Top Doc” several times.
She brings a wealth of experience caring for the dermatology patient across the lifespan – from an infant with severe eczema, to the teenager with complicated acne, the 40-something patient who has a complicated rash or just wants to look their best and the older adult who need comprehensive skin cancer care and prevention. She has provided comprehensive dermatologic care, including medical, surgical and laser treatments for patients of all ages. She cares deeply about helping patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options, ensuring they feel confident in making the best decisions for the care of their skin.
Dr. Burch is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Society for Pediatric Dermatology.
When she is not in clinic, you will find her whipping up delicious meals with friends, hiking scenic trails with her two pups Izzy and Zoey, traveling to watch her son play volleyball, or adventuring through life with her husband.
Meet Diana Pencheva, NP
Diana Pencheva is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner certified by the Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Certification Board. She is licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the State of Colorado and is nationally certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing degrees from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia where she graduated with the highest honors.
She has worked full time in Dermatology since 2012 and her professional areas of interest include skin cancer prevention and early detection, treatment of acne, psoriasis and eczema. She recognizes the unique dermatologic concerns of patients with skin of color. She is experienced in treating and has had additional training on the full spectrum of dermatologic diseases encountered in patients with skin of color. Diana is passionate about medical dermatology and believes that everyone should have access to the skin care treatments they need. She provides patient-centered care by listening, respecting and understanding patient’s values, opinions and needs. She recognizes the emotional impact of skin conditions and she is responsive to the feelings of her patients. Her goal is to partner with her patients in achieving their specific skin goals.
Diana has also undergone additional training in gender affirming care. She is passionate about providing accessible affirming clinical setting for the care of LGBTQ individuals. Diana will make every effort to deliver compassionate care and offer her patients the safest and most effective treatments that are available to treat their skin concerns.
When not working, you can find Diana in the mountains with her family hiking, skiing and enjoying the outdoors.

Meet Katie Rehberg, MSPAS, PA-C
Katie Rehberg, MSPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant with a passion for providing comprehensive skincare solutions and a broad skillset in procedural dermatology. Originally from Buffalo, Katie then moved to West Virginia, then to Tampa, and finally here with us in Arvada.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in BioMedical Science from the
University of South Florida and her Master's in Surgical Physician Assistant Studies from the
University of Alabama at Birmingham. Upon finishing her graduate degree, she worked in surgical specialties, including neurosurgery, general surgery, and pediatric surgery. She has worked full time in medical and aesthetic dermatology since 2015.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Rehberg has developed a reputation for her empathetic approach and attention to detail. Specializing in both medical and cosmetic dermatology, she has successfully treated a diverse range of skin conditions while also helping patients achieve their aesthetic goals. Her ability to establish strong connections with patients, coupled with her expertise, has made her a trusted healthcare professional in the field of dermatology.
Katie Rehberg is not just a dermatologic physician assistant; she is a dedicated advocate for skin health and a compassionate provider committed to enhancing the lives of her patients.
Katie spends her free time with her husband, two boys, and dog exploring all the things that Colorado has to offer.

Meet Amber Schaefer, MPAS, PA-C
Amber Schaefer, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant. Originally from Kansas, she graduated suma cum laude from
Kansas State University with her Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences. She then went on to graduate with academic distinction from the
University of Nebraska Medical Center with her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree. Amber is a member of the
Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
She has worked full time in medical dermatology since June 2022. Amber is passionate about skin cancer prevention, screenings, and early detection. She has special interests in the treatments of acne, rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis. Amber is committed to providing patients with comprehensive, thorough, and compassionate care by taking the time to listen to the needs and concerns of patients, educating patients about their dermatological conditions, and designing treatment plans that will better fit the lifestyles of patients. She is truly dedicated to helping to improve the quality of life for her patients by providing them with patient-centered care for their dermatological conditions.
Amber enjoys spending her free time hiking, skiing, reading, cheering on the K-State Wildcats, and spending time with family and friends.

Meet Jessica Sorensen, MPAS, PA-C
Jessica Sorensen is a board certified Physician Assistant specializing in surgical, medical, and cosmetic dermatology. She graduated from Colorado State University with honors, earning Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Psychology with a minor in Neurobiology. In 2008, she earned her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Colorado School of Medicine’s CHA/PA Program.
Mrs. Sorensen began her career working at the University of Colorado in the division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. There, she developed exceptional surgical skills and gained expertise in neurotoxins, dermal fillers, and laser treatments. Her passion for dermatology soon took precedence, allowing her to blend her surgical proficiency with a focus on a diverse range of skin conditions, from skin malignancies to psoriasis, eczema, acne, and other dermatological disorders.
A firm believer in lifelong learning, Mrs. Sorensen became a
Diplomat Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and has completed advanced laser training at Mint Aesthetics in Kansas City. Her commitment to ongoing education ensures she remains at the forefront of the latest dermatological advancements and techniques.
What truly sets Jessica Sorensen apart is her unwavering dedication to patient care. With her psychology background, she understands the emotional aspects of dermatological concerns. Mrs. Sorensen takes the time to listen to her patients, fostering a comfortable environment whether she is performing a procedure or discussing sensitive skin conditions.
